Play contributes to the government's 'Every Child Matters 5' outcomes
These outcomes aim to improve services for children, young people and their families so that every child and young person is able to reach their full potential. Be Healthy Play is crucial to health and development throughout childhood, contributing to social, physical, intellectual. cultural, emotional and psychological progression. Be Safe Organised events, activities and childcare in a safe environment gives the chance for children and young people to manage risk and challenge through play. Enjoy And Achieve Play can promote children and young people's sense of achievement allowing for the development of problem-solving, language and literacy skills. It is also vital to the development of the imagination, creative interests and abilities. Make a Positive Contribution Through play and organised activities children and young people can develop socially and emotionally, building their self confidence and developing a sense of community and fairness. Achieve Economic Well-being Organised events and activities for children, young people and their families promote community well-being and security. It brings economic benefits through jobs and training, and parents and carers can feel that their child/ren are occupied or being looked after and enjoying themselves. Inclusive Play Encompassing all of the above, all children want to enjoy, achieve and make a positive contribution. The health needs of children and young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities should always be addressed to enable them to do this, here at Jango's Indoor Play Centre we are ensurng that ALL elements of the centre and its' facilities will surpass the legal requirements for DDA compliance. ALL children will be welcomed and encouraged to use the play equipment without prejudice.
